Every holiday season brings the same challenge: how to feel fresh when the expectations are already set. This project began with a deliberate effort to break from that pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proposing Where’s Wally?<\/em> as a collaboration partner wasn’t simply about the character’s charm. For those who grew up in the 90s, Wally carries a genuine sense of warmth and nostalgia \u2014 and the playfulness embedded in the act of searching felt like a natural fit for brand storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artwork was developed around a single idea: bringing Starbucks into Wally’s world. Wally holding a Starbucks cup, Wally stepping into a store \u2014 familiar character, familiar space, seamlessly intertwined. The illustration set in the streets of Hongdae stands as one of the clearest expressions of that approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project expanded well beyond merchandise, extending into exclusive food and beverage offerings. Campaign visuals, styled like scenes lifted from a picture book, spread organically across customer social media \u2014 closing out the seasonal campaign on a strong note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
