2023 STARBUCKS WINTER e-Frequency
Built around the theme ‘The moment begins here,’ this project highlights the heritage of the Starbucks Planner while reinforcing the brand’s original design identity. Beyond a simple object, it is designed as a quiet daily companion—helping users pause, reflect, and find rhythm in their everyday lives.
Drawing inspiration from the typography of handcrafted labels and stamps, the design captures a vintage yet minimal analog aesthetic. The deliberate restraint in materials, color, and negative space evokes an understated sophistication—creating a timeless look that ages beautifully with use.
The collection extends beyond the planner to include a collaborative LAMY Safari pen and Starbucks’ first illustrated wall calendar, curating a complete suite of thoughtful daily objects.
‘The moment begins here’를 테마로, 스타벅스 플래너가 지녀온 고유한 헤리티지와 스타벅스만의 오리지널리티를 담아낸 프로젝트입니다. 하루의 시작과 기록의 순간이 자연스럽게 이어지는 경험을 상상하며, 일상 속에서 오래 함께할 수 있는 오브젝트로서의 플래너를 재정의하고자 했습니다.
장인의 수공예품에 부착되는 라벨과 직인에서 영감을 받아, 아날로그적인 감성과 빈티지한 분위기를 바탕으로 한 미니멀한 디자인 방향을 설정했습니다. 소재와 컬러, 여백의 균형을 통해 절제된 고급스러움을 강조하며, 시간이 지날수록 더욱 자연스럽게 사용자의 삶에 스며드는 디자인을 지향했습니다.
본 프로젝트에서는 LAMY와의 협업을 통해 사파리 볼펜을 개발했으며, 스타벅스 최초로 일러스트레이션이 적용된 벽걸이 달력 또한 함께 디자인해 플래너 라인업의 경험을 확장했습니다.
